Kosmos Innovation Center KIC is set to enlighten and empower young farmers at the Young Farmer Business Academy YFBA. The innovation Centre aims to achieve this through a network of trainings, workshops, and hands on experience that young farmers require to set up their farms and diversify into other spheres of agribusiness.
The KIC Young Farmer Business Academy (YFBA) is a 4 to 7 month program designed to cultivate the next generation of agricultural entrepreneurs.
The program which is designed to equip participants with a comprehensive toolkits for success will provide dedicated coaching and mentorship to foster a supportive environment. This is intended to encourage participants to explore innovative approaches in agricultural production and its related industries.

Animal feed making
They make healthy food that promotes growth for animals, by using the right ingredients to design a formula for farm animals. These products can be sold to farmers or big stores that sell to retailers.

Specifically for persons interested in equipment and machinery production. Farmers need these tools to work on their farms, and these producers have successfully made farming easier for farmers through their various new innovations to boost crop production.
Food processing and packaging
Most of food items purchased at grocery stories have undergone series of processes – freezing, canning or fermentation. These companies transform agricultural products into food and send them to grocery stores for sales.

Young Farmer Business Academy (YFBA)
The YFBA 2024 program is designed to equip young entrepreneurs with skills via practical sessions, field demonstrations, mentorship and coaching to enhance their knowledge about all aspects of Agri-production and most importantly, recognize potential business opportunities.
YFBA 2024 Eligibility Criteria
1. Applicants must be between the age 18-35. However, those between 18 and 24 years of age will be prioritized.
2. Interested persons must be willing to reside in Ghana during the training.
3. Participants must possess the ability to work in a team.
4. Ability to work with little to minimal supervision.
5. Unwavering focus and dedication to YFBA program.
6. Applicants should possess exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
7. Interested persons should be creative and be able to think of innovative ideas.
8. Candidates must have a strong desire to start a business in the agricultural sector.
9. Willingness to collaborate as a co-founder with other candidates from the training at YFBA program.
10. Ability to commit to a maximum of 12 days a month for trainings.
