Silicon Valley-based Miller Center for Entrepreneurship is extending invitations to entrepreneurs and organizations who are working on programs designed to economically empower women and/or who are working on climate resilience through their carefully curated accelerator program. The center which has supported over 1,300 social entrepreneurs who are scaling their impact and attracting significant investments, is specifically looking for proven impact models that require some support to scale their current operations.

The program will address the following key areas:

1. Impact Model

2. Business Model

3. Marketing & Sales Strategy

4. Growth Plan & Financial Forecast

5. Key measures/key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting results.

6. Fundraising Strategy & Plan – Investor ROI and impact ROI.

Eligible participants stand to gain access to the center’s over 300 outstanding mentors, which consist of start-up founders, and serial entrepreneurs, from top companies such as Apple, Cisco, Google, Intel and Paypal, who will work with them to bring their visions to life. Together, participants and mentors will find and solve gaps and opportunities in their firms, and design action plans to help them realize their vision for growth.

The  180 hours of executive coaching mentoring will be immersive and tailored to address the specific needs of the business.

Applications are currently being accepted and assessed on a rolling basis and applicants who submit earlier stand a better chance of getting accepted.

Application Requirements (Individual)

  • The applicant is expected to occupy the role of CEO, Executive Director, Managing Director or be a top-level executive within the organization.
  • Applicants should be fluent in English
  • Have un-uninterrupted access to a stable internet connection
  • The applicant should be certain of their availability for the entire 6 months of the program’s duration, with an average of 4-6 hours per week

Application Requirements (Organization)

  • The participating organization should be committed to improving the lives of low-income people by addressing one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Is a social enterprise dedicated to promoting women’s economic empowerment, climate resilience, or both.
  • The organization should is set on scaling its solution
  • To be considered eligible, the enterprise should have been operational for at least one year and currently offers products/services to its customers.
  • Interested organizations should have generated a minimum of $20,000 USD (or local currency equivalent) in annual earned income and shows no evidence of total dependency on grants.
  • The organization should have in its employ, a minimum of 3 paid, full-time employees with no less than  3-months of cash runway.
